SEVEN FLAGS MANAGEMENT NEWS / February March April 2024
Hello and Happy New Year. We hope you all had a nice
Holiday. Thank you for the lovely Christmas cards and gifts you brought into
the office. Your thoughtfulness was much appreciated. Our Maintenance Crew,
Jesus, Jose and Armando would like to say how very fortunate they feel to be
working for the Park. They appreciate the generosity and warm love that you showed
to them. They say to all of you, “Thank you from our hearts”- Jesus, Jose and
Armandođź’•.
Winter is here and so
is the cold weather. We all need to keep ourselves and our homes warm. Due to
the increase in usage, and PG&E's higher rates this time of year, our
electric and gas bills are higher. PG&E offers a CARE program, which offers
a monthly discount on PG&E bills for qualifying households. You can apply
online: pge.com/care and print out an application or you can come into the
office and pick up an application. Please remember not to park your cars in the
fire lanes, as we need them available in case of an emergency. Our main concern
is always the safety of our residents. So please keep the fire lanes clear.
Thank you.
Trash and Recycling We receive a lot of phone calls
asking what goes into garbage, yard waste, compost and recycling and what the
collection days are. Garbage, Yard debris and compost are picked up on Mondays
beginning at 9:00am. Garbage must be secured in a tied plastic bag. It can be
put in front of a resident's unit in a trash can or as a stand-alone item. Yard
Waste is also picked up on Monday. It can be placed in a garbage can or left on
a loose tarp on the ground. (The county dump requires garbage to be delivered
separately.) Compost is also picked up on Monday. It can be placed in a small
compost bag or in a stand-alone small recep tacle. Recycled items are picked up
on Friday mornings after 9:00 am. We ask that you please put the recyclable
items in plastic bags or a receptacle. Our guys ask that you please do not put
Styrofoam, clothes, shoes or any similar items in with the recycling. We try to
make things easier for our guys, who take care of the trash and recycling.
Park Distributions The Park is mandated by law to distribute
State issued documents throughout the year. In the first quarter of 2024 you
will receive the Public Awareness Message (from the PUC) that we must
distribute twice a year. It explains what you need to do if you smell gas in
your home. First, leave your unit, do not turn on a light switch and do not use
your cell phone in the unit. Noti fy the office (707) 996-9660 and PG&E
(800-546-5000). The California Civil Code Provisions is a document that states
all the laws that pertain to mobile home resi dents. It explains State rules
governing mobile homes for repairing your home or yard. If you need a permit,
Dick is completely familiar with all the state laws, so be sure to discuss with
him any changes to your plan. The office sends out emails that pertain only to
Park and office subjects and issues. Please let us know if you would like to be
added to the office email list. Our email address is:
louisecavallo67@gmail.com. Our email list is confidential and for office use only.
Redwood Empire Food Distribution Truck is the 4th
Tuesday of each month from 1:00pm – 2:00pm. The food distribution is in the
Clubhouse parking lot. All residents are welcome. If you are unable to carry
your groceries to your home or car one of the volunteers will be happy to
assist you. There is always fresh fruit and vegetables, meat, eggs, bread, and
other goodies. If you do not have an account with Redwood Food Distribution,
you can sign up in person at the food distribution or call (707) 523-7903 to
create an account ahead of time. We look forward to seeing you there. The Park
is happy to be able to offer this wonderful service to our residents. A big
thank you to the HOA for supplying free coffee and pastries.
Thank you, Doug, for your outstanding work in
the library. It is much appreciated. We would like to welcome our new residents
to our lovely community. We look forward to getting to know you. We wish you
all a safe and healthy winter. See you in the spring. Every day may not be
good, but there is something good in every day.
